THE MERCY is a British biographical drama in which an amateur sailor attempts to cover up his failure to complete an around-the-world boat race.

Language

There is infrequent use of strong language and uses of milder terms.

There is a scene which suggests a character has taken their own life followed by brief verbal reference to it. A character experiences symptoms of mental illness including brief hallucinations. Blood is seen on a man's hand after he accidentally cuts himself with a knife, and there is scene in which a character drains a boil on his head but this is not graphic.
