THE STAR is a children's animation in which a little donkey helps Mary and Joseph on their way to Bethlehem.

Threat

A large Roman soldier with two vicious dogs pursues the protagonists. The dogs bare their teeth and threaten other animals to get information, while the Roman briefly wields a sword. The heroes evade capture.

Violence

There are comic scenes of slapstick, such as characters climbing over scaffolding and rooftops, or tumbling down a cliff side. In a brief moment of violence a donkey kicks a dog, and is then thrown back by a Roman soldier.

Language

Infrequent use of very mild language.

In retelling the Nativity story there is a reference to Mary's conception and Joseph briefly acknowledges his worries about not being a suitable father.
