BBFC and Into Film mark 12 years of 12A
This year marks the twelfth anniversary of the 12A certificate for cinema releases. The 12A certificate was introduced to let parents decide if a 12A film is suitable for a child under 12.
BBFC takes part in the 25th Cinemagic Film and Television Festival
BBFC workshops for under-12s formed part of the first stage of the festival in October, while students aged 12-25 can look forward to the November programme of film screenings, competitions, Q&A’s, film and television workshops and masterclasses.

Kids for Kids UK: Calling all young filmmakers from the UK aged 6 - 19 years
The BBFC will classify and award black cards to winning films in the Grand Prize for Outstanding Achievement category.

BBFC takes part in Into Film events at Hay Festival 2014
The events take place on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 May and include an introduction to age ratings, plus a feature film screening, followed by a Q&A session where we explain the classification issues in the film.
