cbbfc Poll Results Just In!
Last year's poll on film and DVD baddies has finally closed! The votes have been counted and you have had your say. But who was the meanest of the mean? The nastiest of the nasty? The most likely to send you running behind the sofa to hide? The absolute worst of all the villains from all the films and videos you have watched?
The team at cbbfc thought the voting would be close, but one baddie was top of the list from the first day of voting. Here are some clues:
- The picture on the right shows where the baddie lives
- The top baddie is an alien and there is more than one of them
- These baddies have been seen in a famous long-running TV series
- They can hover and fly and like to EXTERMINATE people
Have you guessed who it is yet?
That's right, you voted the Daleks as the scariest, most dastardly, most wicked baddies of all time! Oskar thinks that perhaps they are most frightening because they can fly across space and time? Do you agree?
Those dastardly Daleks beat a host of other naughty characters from Cruella DeVille to the Green Goblin, Ursula from The Little Mermaid and even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named from the Harry Potter films and books.
Two baddies were in joint second place. The first was the White Witch, who scared you silly in The Chronicles of Narnia. And the second was horrible, slimy bad-doer Lord Voldemort himself from the Harry Potter Films.
The Orcs, from The Lord Of The Rings films and Simba's nasty Uncle Scar from The Lion King were not far behind either. But the Daleks were by far and away the clear winners. Perhaps it's time for cbbfc readers to sharpen their sonic screwdrivers.
This year we've decided to think some happier thoughts and ask you who you think is the best film or DVD hero. Will you pick the bravest or the kindest? The friendliest or the funniest? A superhero or a cartoon character?
As always the choice is yours, so go to the Voting Booth to make your views count!
