FINDING DORY is an animated adventure sequel about a fish with short term memory loss who sets out to find her parents.

Threat

There are infrequent scenes of mild threat, including a sequence in which the main characters are chased by a giant squid. In one scene, a baby fish strays into a strong water current and is swept away, causing some brief distress.

There are brief scenes of emotional distress in which a character believes she has lost her parents and may never see them again, although the story ultimately has a positive outcome.

THE BFG is a fantasy adventure in which a young orphaned girl is carried away to a magical land by a big friendly giant.

Threat

There are occasional scenes of mild threat in which a young girl hides from giants who are intent on eating her. This includes a brief sequence in which the girl has a nightmare in which she is dropped into a giant's mouth, but she then wakes up unharmed.

There are infrequent scenes of very mild violence, including some large giants bullying a smaller giant, and throwing him around, and a scene in which the latter touches a red-hot poker onto the bottom of one of his tormentors.

Infrequent scenes of toilet humour feature characters farting after drinking a fantastical liquid.

Large-scale alien attacks result in a variety of disasters, including cities being destroyed, with implied but undetailed loss of lives. There are also more personalised moments of threat as aliens wrap tentacles around people's necks, resulting in injury or death; some of these moments are a little scary, but they are not frequent or sustained.
