MAYA THE BEE is an animated children's film about a young bee who is banished from her hive. She makes new friends in the outside world who help her save the hive from a takeover.

Threat

In one scene, young bees and hornets are warned that rival insects wish them harm, and this is accompanied by brief scary images of larger insects. In another scene, a spider grabs a young hornet and traps it in her web but the hornet is rescued. There is also a scene in which bats attack the insects but there is no detail.

In some scenes, the elderly Queen Bee is weak because her Royal Jelly has been taken away but her food source is found and she is fully revived again.

Violence

There is sustained fantasy violence, including fight scenes in which characters are punched and kicked, but this is largely without any injury detail. Violence

Violence is mild and the context is fantastical. There are action sequences in which characters are hit with makeshift weapons, such as shovels, and knocked down. The moderate threat arises in sequences, some quite intense, during which human characters are relentlessly pursued by cyborgs intent on killing them.

Threat

There are mild and comic scary scenes when fantasy characters turn scary for brief moments. A cake monster suddenly grows fangs and snarls at a crowd, before returning to its cuter version. A magician does a trick in which he rips the heart out of a character, but without any realism or detail. There is a boy being stretched on a rack as part of Dracula's idea of 'kids' yoga'.

Violence
