ENDER'S GAME is a science fiction film about an adolescent fighting force.

Violence

The violence contains very little injury or bloodletting, and for the most part occurs within a clear fantasy context of humans versus aliens. However, there are two occasions on which teenage boys fight, in both cases as the hero stands up to bullies. Ultimately, the film's message is that violence is not the best way to solve disputes between people.

Injury detail

There is a slightly gory moment when a monitoring device is removed from the back of Ender's neck. This is presented as part of a swift medical procedure. We see Ender grimace for a second as the metal device, with a small amount of blood visible, is pulled out and placed in a jar of liquid.

There is also some mild bad language. For more information about the film's language, grown-ups may visit the main BBFC website or download the free BBFC app.

But no harm comes to the hamster, who soon returns to his normal size. In another scene Hill's grandmother uses a comic style of fighting, which involves some slapstick moves, such as pulling on a man's tongue before letting it slap back. No one is seen to come to harm in any of these comic scenes.
