In another scene, a large, aquarium stage set shatters and water rushes through the theatre, sweeping the audience into the street. Although characters panic, it is quickly established that everyone is safe.

Threat

There are scenes of mild threat in which the Moana and her companion face danger from natural sources, such as stormy seas, as well as fantastical creatures including a giant lava monster, tiny coconut pirates and people-eating plants. Some of these scenes are last a while, and the creatures have scary appearances, but the focus is on the excitement of the adventures, as well as the bravery and resourcefulness displayed by the characters in overcoming the dangers. The threat is also relieved by the comic elements in the story and the characters' behaviour.
