Films sometimes explore the lives of real people, or on events that actually happened. This is the case with Darkest Hour, a film about Winston Churchill – an important figure in British history – as he becomes Prime Minister during the early years of WWII.

Do you think it makes a difference to the audience if they know that a film is depicting real events? Does it make a difference to who the film is aimed at? Does the drama seem more real or intense?
