ASTRO KID is a sci-fi animation in which a boy must survive on an alien planet when he gets separated from his parents on a space mission.

Threat and horror

A young boy is ejected from a spaceship when it is struck by asteroids. He is then chased by various alien monsters, becomes trapped in a pit, and is poisoned by an alien plant that causes a blue substance to spread over his skin. Some scenes dwell on his isolation and fear that he may not see his parents again, but these are brief and soon move on to focus on his resilience, resourcefulness, and his friendship with an alien and a robot.

Rude humour

There is a reference to the boy needing to "poop". In another scene, he is shown from behind urinating into a pool, at which point his alien pet produces multiple streams of urine from an unseen source.

Language is very mild ('nuts').
