Kids for Kids UK: Calling all young filmmakers from the UK aged 6 - 19 years
Kids for Kids UK is pleased to announce it will be hosting its 6th Film Festival Competition for children and young people with support from the BFI Education, London who will be hosting the event for the 3rd year running. The BBFC will classify and award black cards to winning films in the Grand Prize for Outstanding Achievement category.
Kids for Kids UK is seeking submissions of short films made by children (6-12 years) and young people (13-19 years) of up to 10 minutes in any of the following 3 categories:
-Live Action
-Animation
-One Minute Films
Selected films for the competition section will be screened at the BFI Southbank in London on Saturday 15th November 2014.
The festival team will appoint an international professional jury and a children’s jury who will award the following prizes: Best Film in each age group and in each category; plus one Grand Prize for Outstanding Achievement for a film made by children and young people from each age group, with the winners of this award also having their film classified by the BBFC.
Awards and Prizes will be announced at the conclusion of the competition at the BFI Southbank.
