‘Symbol Superheroes’ Competition T&Cs

The competition is open to all students in Year 1 or Year 2 (or equivalent) studying in the UK, including the Channel Islands.

We will only accept submissions from  classes, submitted by a class teacher or member of the applying school’s support team. Submissions made by individual students will not be accepted.

We will only accept one entrant per class. If multiple classes (for example, two Year 1 classes or a Year 1 and Year 2 class) from the same school wish to apply that is acceptable. 

Entrants must submit ‘Symbol Superheroes’ by post to BBFC, 3 Soho Square, London W1D 3HD. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.

The BBFC is the promoter of the competition and responsible for prize promotion.  

By entering the promotion, the participants agree: 

  1. to be bound by these terms and conditions; 

  2. that the school name, teacher name and name of the winning pupil will be released if they win a prize; 

  3. that should they win the promotion, their name and likeness may be used by BBFC for pre-arranged promotional purposes. 

Entrants must submit ‘Symbol Superheros’ by post to BBFC, 3 Soho Square, London W1D 3HD. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.

Entrants must supply their full name, school name, class name / year, school postal address and daytime telephone number. These details must be clearly written on the back of each entry. These details will not be passed on to third parties or used in activity not related to the CBBFC PSHE Competition. For more information on our privacy policy can be found on our website.

The closing date of the competition is 23:59 25 June 2021.

The winning entrant(s) will be the design selected by a panel of judges chosen by the BBFC after the closing date. The BBFC's decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered. The winner(s) will be notified within 28 days of the close of the promotion by email or post. 

There is no cash alternative and the prize will not be transferable. The name and county of residence of the winner(s) will be available online within two months of the closing date of the promotion. 

If the prize cannot be fulfilled, then the BBFC retains the right to offer an alternative. 

BBFC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control. 

If the winner is unable to be contacted within two weeks of the promotion's closing date, BBFC reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future BBFC promotion. 

BBFC excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winner(s) arising from his or her acceptance of a prize. 

The promotion is subject to the laws of England.
